Backflow Testing On Long Island

The cleanliness of our water is an extremely important factor in the ongoing progress and day-to-day operation of our society. That’s why it’s extremely important that we all do our part to prevent accidental contamination of our water supply, and commercial and industrial properties are required to add extra protection in the form of a backflow prevention device. Backflow prevention devices are valves that shut off when they detect a reversed flow of water, preventing any potentially contaminated or compromised water from reaching the public supply where it can quickly spread like wildfire. In addition to requiring these devices, local laws also require that these devices be tested at least once a year to certify that they work and provide adequate protection against backflow.

Mangano Plumbing Sewer & Drain, Inc. works with all types of backflow prevention devices in order to offer exceptional-quality inspection services that ensure your safety and keep your business fully compliant with the law. We offer exceptional service that is built to cater to the needs of commercial customers, and that includes offering fast response, thorough solutions, and ongoing protection. We are so much more than just a service provider—we also want to be the team you turn to for all of your plumbing needs in the future. That’s why we focus on delivering great customer service and a complete experience that takes the stress out of your business’s plumbing problems. Concerned about your backflow prevention system? Are you due for your annual inspection? Stay compliant with the law and let our team handle it all for you!

Who Is Required to Have a Backflow Prevention Device?

Backflow prevention requirements are actually somewhat complex and convoluted, but it’s pretty safe to assume that just about any commercial or industrial facility needs to have one of these devices installed. There are exceptions to this rule in some extremely rare cases, and likewise, the requirement does not extend only to commercial facilities. Some residential buildings (particularly multi-family residential buildings) are required to have these devices in order to protect our potable water supply for everyone else. This is also notably true for residential buildings on college and university campuses.

Make sure your backflow prevention device is properly tested and compliant! Contact Mangano Plumbing Sewer & Drain, Inc. and book your appointment today.
